Fleet Supervisor

Our Johannesburg branch based in Isando is looking for a Fleet Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Fleet Maintenance Report
• Tyre inspection
• Fuel vehicle checks
• Fuel queries
• Buying of vehicle spares
• Curtain/Panel maintenance checks
• Windscreen repairs and replacements
• Forklift weekly checklists
• Forklift maintenance schedules
• Booking of vehicle services
• Vehicle internal hygiene checks
• Following up on road-worthy and licenses
• Reporting of all malfunctions on vehicles
• Ensuring that inhouse mechanic is pushing out work standing in the workshop
• Speeding reports to be followed for issuing of speeding fines
• Monitoring of vehicle mileages to advise on anomalies
• Following up on all outstanding parts/maintenance that needs to be carried out
• Checking of tail-lifts for any noticeable issued to ensure that there is no down time.
• Monitor and control packaging material – pallets, cages, bike cages. This covers movement and maintenance.
• Monitor and control tyres and management
• Monitor and control material handling equipment – pallet jacks (JHB branch)
• Monitor and control waste disposal – wood, plastic, metal
• Monitor and control forklift diesel

Job Requirements

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
• Vehicle knowledge and at least 1 year working mechanical experience
• Proven experience in the logistics industry
• Attention to detail
• Responsible & punctual
• Must have 3 – 5 years’ experience
• Excellent telephonic and Communication Skills
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Problem Solving Skills
• Strong organisational and planning skills
• Must have own transport
